Kemo IPTV on Roku: Easy Setup Guide

Roku does not offer proper IPTV player apps, so Kemo IPTV on Roku works through screen mirroring from an Android phone or Windows PC, or AirPlay from an iPhone on AirPlay-capable Roku models. It works, but for the best picture we honestly recommend a Firestick or Google TV stick instead.

Which app should I use for Kemo IPTV on Roku?

For most people on Roku, Screen mirroring (Android / Windows) is the easiest choice. Built into Roku — mirrors whatever plays on your phone or PC. The alternatives below work just as well with your Kemo IPTV login — pick whichever layout you prefer.

How do I install Kemo IPTV on Roku?

Follow these 5 steps in order. Have your Kemo IPTV welcome email open on your phone. Each step names the exact menu, so you can follow along on the screen.

  1. 1

Set up Kemo IPTV on the phone or PC

Follow our Android, iPhone or Windows guide first so a player app is already working on that device.

  2. 2

    Allow mirroring on Roku

On the Roku go to Settings → System → Screen mirroring → Screen mirroring mode and choose Prompt or Always allow.

  3. 3

    Android: cast the screen

Swipe down from the top of the phone, tap Smart View, Screen Cast or Cast (name varies by brand) and pick your Roku.

  4. 4

    iPhone: use AirPlay

Make sure AirPlay is on under Roku Settings → Apple AirPlay and HomeKit. Then open Control Centre → Screen Mirroring and choose the Roku.

  5. 5

    Play the channel

Start the channel on your phone, turn it sideways and go full screen. Keep the phone plugged in to charge.

Kemo IPTV not working on Roku? Try these fixes

These are the problems we see most often on Roku, with the fix that usually solves each one. If none of them helps, message us with a photo of the error and your order or trial email.

Roku doesn't appear in the cast list

Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi. Restart the Roku from Settings → System → Power → System restart.

Mirrored picture is laggy

Mirroring re-encodes the video. Move the router closer, or use a dedicated device such as a Firestick for sport.

Phone screen locks and stops the stream

Turn off auto-lock while mirroring, or use the player's own cast button if it offers one.

Tips for the best picture on Roku

  • Mirroring uses your phone as the player, so calls and notifications will appear on the TV — turn on Do Not Disturb.
  • A Fire TV Stick costs less than most Roku upgrades and runs Kemo IPTV natively.
  • Avoid unofficial 'private channel' codes; they are often removed and can be unsafe.
