How do I install Kemo IPTV on Android TV box?
Follow these 6 steps in order. Have your Kemo IPTV welcome email open on your phone — you'll copy your details from it in step 4. Each step names the exact menu, so you can follow along on the screen.
- 1
Update the box
Open Settings → Device Preferences → About → System update (the name varies by brand) and install anything waiting. Up-to-date boxes play streams more smoothly.
- 2
Open the Play Store
From the home screen go to Apps → Google Play Store and sign in with a Google account if prompted.
- 3
Install TiviMate
Search for 'TiviMate IPTV Player', select Install and wait for it to finish. On uncertified boxes without Play Store, use the box's own app store or ask us for a direct download code.
- 4
Add Kemo IPTV
Open TiviMate → Add playlist → Xtream Codes. Type the server URL, then username and password exactly as emailed (they are case-sensitive). Select Next, then Done.
- 5
Tidy up the channel list
Go to Settings → Playlists → Kemo IPTV → Manage groups and untick the countries and categories you do not watch. The guide loads faster and scrolling is much easier.
- 6
Start watching
Press Back to reach the TV guide, scroll to a channel and press select. Long-press a channel to add it to Favourites.
Kemo IPTV not working on Android TV box? Try these fixes
These are the problems we see most often on Android TV Box, with the fix that usually solves each one. If none of them helps, message us with a photo of the error and your order or trial email.
'Authorisation failed'
Check for a space at the end of the username or password, and that the server URL includes http:// and the port number if one was given.
Box runs hot and stutters
Give it airflow, don't stack it on the router, and clear TiviMate's cache in Settings → Apps → TiviMate → Clear cache.
No Play Store on the box
Some cheap boxes ship with a modified Android. Use the built-in store, or install Downloader from it and ask support for the player code.
Tips for the best picture on Android TV box
- Boxes with 4 GB of RAM or more handle the full 34,000-channel list noticeably better than 2 GB models.
- Set the box to 'Never sleep' while watching so long films are not interrupted.
- Turn off automatic app updates during big events in case an update restarts the player.
